I'm replacing the tires on my 02 BA, I've read a bunch of good things about the Metzelers and their perfomance. I have a question about the size of the front tire, it seems that it's not the same size as the stock.

Stock size = 110/80 - 18
Metzelers = 110/90 - 18

Have you guys had any problems with turning or the tire coming close to your fender?

btw - first post here, glad to be aboard.

Well, after bad mouthing the Metzs in an earlier thread (I didn't like the 880s on my BMW due to cupping) I went ahead and ordered them for my BA anyway based on recommendations here. I'm looking for higher milage as well as better performance and I know the 880 to be a long running tire.

I had them installed this afternoon and have all of 50 (careful) miles on them. In that very short time I can tell a HUGE positive difference in the bike's handling and ride. I was especially pleased with how they handle grooved pavement on the Interstate. No more hunting like the OEM front tire did.

I put the 110/90-18 on the front and it fits fine. It's tight, but it doesn't rub. Helps the speedo too.
