Hey Guys, I'm running a 2005 TBA with Thunder Bike pipes, Unifilter, 1 shim on stock needles, stock air box, Brents Carb Adjustment screws 3 turns out,18 tooth sprocket, 132 mains and 42 pilot jets and my plugs are or appear to be a medium gray color, I also have very little to no popping on decell. just a nice little rumble. I was wondering how many miles I should ride before checking them? Should I wait before changing the pilot jets? According to Pat's jetting calc I should actualy Be a little rich. I checked the Squirrel condoms, intake rubbers, exhaust all for leaks and found none. This really has me baffeled, now I only put @30 Miles on the bike before I checked them, did I just not wait long enough?? Any Suggestions would be greatly appricated!!

Jettingf calculator tends to be slightly rich from what I have seen. Grey is OK jetting.

Thanks Ian, I was told the color should be light brown. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Light brown or grey, I always shoot for light brown but grey is OK too, just don't want black or white.

Did you find you needed the shim because you had a dip in the power at mid throttle? I'd be willing to bet you could take it out and you'd find the bike ran just as well with slightly better gas mileage. That would get you a tad closer to the light brown (although the lack of lead in the gas these days makes the color harder to see).
