Hello everyone. I joined the site and began posting back in January of this year but never made a formal introduction. I want to apologize for being rude in that respect and would like to make amends. Here is a face to the name and some pics of my bikes.

Here I am.

Me and 2 of my bikes. The Speedy got totaled and is no more. My "Old Suzuki" on the right still runs great.

Replaced Speedy with mulberry America

18,800 plus miles later, still lovin' this bike.

I enjoy the site and all your comments and always look forward to seeing the latest posts. Look forward to meeting some of you guys face to face. Somehow I feel connected to you all through this site. Already made new friend in Fatrat who lives fairly close to me. Maybe I'll get to Georgia one year or will bump into some of you on the road.

Happy Trails! Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up!

Now THIS is the way to introduce yourself, folks!

Nice job, Doc!

And I'd say welcome, but you ain't a newbie anymore, dude!

(BTW...from what I can tell, that old Suzuki still LOOKS pretty darn nice too)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

You may have to "strike any key to continue." I've got a hammer.

I wish I could make the rally this year but will have to take a raincheck. I know its gonna be a good one. I look forward to seeing the pictures.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Doc, Is that a GSX of some type? I had a Suzuki GSX 1000 given to me....had compression (150 psi), and good spark on all four...#1, just would not pop...The pipe would get hot initially, then go cold...Baffled me and everyone else...The only cylinder I have EVER seen that had compression, spark, and fuel, but would not pop...Eventually gave it away, but was really strong on the other 3 cylinders...Glad to have ya...

Sorry, I'm not that kind of doctor. Actually, I'm not a doctor at all. I teach computer hardware at a local career college and my students bestowed on me an honorary title Dr. PC. PC as in personal computer.

Personally, I prefer Broad. Whatever produces the fewer face slaps.

The Speedy was declared a total loss an taken by the insurance company. I got enough to pay for the America but not for another Speedy. That is why I got the America. However, I like the setup better but actually the speedy got better mileage.

My "Old Suzuki" in a '82' GL650GLZ shaft drive. It will run like a bat out hades. I got that bike as a gift, it had been garaged for over ten years. The carbs were gummed up like crazy. I took them apart and put some kits in them. I took a can of carb cleaner and blew through every hole I could find. I used guitar string if the hole was clogged to get it started then the fluid pressure to clean out the passage. If you have spark, air, fuel, and compression, you should have combustion unless the air/fuel ratio is not right or ignition timing. On my bike, 1 & 3 share a coil and 2 & 4 share a coil. The cylinders on the same coils fire 360 degrees from each other like our Bonnies.

Thanks to all and remember....
