I have already removed the 1st set of baffles on TBA exhaust, I was planning on removing the second set of baffeles, but I don't want to create any problems, have any of you removed the 1st and 2nd set of baffels, what was TBA's response. I don't want to rejet the carbs. (low on funds, and married)

Jets are only $3 to $5 and if you remove baffles you should re-jet.

no problems yet but you are most likely pretty lean and thats not good for the engine.

I didn't really notice any performance difference or need to re-jet til I took out the third baffle leaving only 1 baffle and the reducer cone. Sounded better, though. Like Dog said, probably lean anyway, should at least back out your screws some.

The thing is you can't really go by performance alone, an extremely lean engine will run like a scalded ape right up until it blows up.

I removed the second baffle and went to 130 mains and it runs perfect. Like it was said, it only costs about $5.

I removed the first baffle and drilled a couple of 1/2" holes in the second baffle plate......really woke the bike up!.....much more power and much better sound....still using stock jets.....
