Have at it... interesting wonder how good it is...one guy over at a f150 site I belong to (who seems legit and is always SPOT ON in his tech advice) is using something sim (his has a stainless steel coil and a dedicated 12vlt source)...and runs (claimed) about 28 MPG in his truck...thats about 9-11 increase in MPG...

Snake oil.. but interesting.. a good bit of unburned fuel goes out the pipe so basically he recycling that and introducing it to the intake system. I'd love to see it work but don't know about 9 to 11 mpg increase.. maybe on the slab.. maybe.

There are couple problems with H2 as a booster. First,H2 is a combustible, so you need more air to be able to let the reaction take place completely.
Secondly, like acetylene, H2 is unstable as a compressed gas. You can only pump it up so much before auto-ignites. For the same volume of a cylinder, you can fit a whole lot more NOS in it safely than H2. Plus you HAVE to keep H2 fairly cool. It will blow up at a low temperature (compared to other alternatives), espically when compressed.

That isn't to say, that I don't believe that Hydrogen is the best choice for primary fuel though. I'm just biding my time waiting on a viable converter . . . .

Ever wonder why car manufacturers won't work together to have a better more efficient end product.

Steady state running at 45 - 50 MPH on level ground, the fuel flow gauge on my Ram 1500 says I get 28 - 32 MPG without any gismos. Goes up to 48 - 54 decelerating but drops off to around 12 accelerating from a stop.

The last time the American car manufacturers worked together on anything, was to run Tucker out of business for coming up with a better product.

Now Sarge, don't you think it might have had a just a little to do with the idea that Preston Tucker's grandiose plans were extremely underfunded to begin with?
(a la Indian motorcycles of late)
The way I figure it, these sorts of "hey folks..get twice your mileage with this thing" such as this gizmo Rob has brought to our attention here being "stiffled by major auto companies so they can keep up getting low milage" has never made sense to me. If some "genius" DID ever come up with something that works, I would think the major auto companies would be chompin' at the bit to buy this technology so as to be better positioned in the marketplace.
(this is why I've always been a bit skeptical about these kinds of products)
