Just got home from Iraq and saw both the TBA and SM yesterday at the dealership up in Indianapolis, IN. WOW!!! What an amazing bike. I had pretty much made my mind up prior to returning home that the Triumph is what I wanted, but seeing is believing. I figured any bike that has guys who have been riding forever, as well as newbies oggling over it deffinately been built right. I am headed to TN on Monday to possibly buy a used and highly modded TBA from a fellow site member.....hope our deal works out. Sorry about the subpar post: just had about 7 Michelobs in preperation for this afternoon's lawn cutting.

Welcome home brother, and welcome to the site. You will not be disappointed with either an America or SM.

Welcome to the site! You will love the TBA, I have an 07 and it is absolutely the best. And I know what you mean when you see it in person, the TBA was the first bike I was actually in awe over, so I had to buy one!

+1 When I was looking for another bike I saw the America, and my decision was clear and made

The bikes (ours) are in many ways the cream of the Triumph crusier line. The Rocket 3 is fast and in many ways a great bike but is FUGLY beyond belief. If UGLINESS is next to GODLINESS than and only then can the Rocket be considered beyootiful.
On a recent RAT ride with the Tucson RATS my bike was the only Triumph cruiser there in a sea of Rockets, Sprints, sportbikes, Thruxtons and a standard Bonnie.
An old school biker aboard his Road King pulled in next to us to park and after viewing all those Trumps he spoke carefully and with conviction.."Only one of this bunch I'd own is that Black Beauty Over There" He was, of course, pointing at my Black Speedmaster.
You cant go wrong with the TBA and Speedie. They are not the fastest or in possession of great torque nor horsepower but they have a class and notable look that is unsurpassed by the rest of em.

Welcome home Jason and thank you for your service. I know you endured alot over there and hope you are stronger for it. Yep, you'll love your bike. They are great and very tough little buggers. Be sure you post pics of yourself and the bike...well just the bike ! After Iraq, do you still remember what grass is?

Welcome home, Brother, and welcome to our little on-line clubhouse. While I would agree that the original Rocket III is, was, and will remain fuggly, the touring version is very attractive and really shows the bike in its rightful element as a highway touring cruiser. Enjoy the ride!

Very few people are disappointed in their Triumphs. I’ve had mine for almost four years and can’t imagine getting rid of it. My wife calls mine “the mistress that lives in the garage.† Thank you for your service.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

The America was my first and only real choice. I briefly entertained the thoughts of a VStar 650 but that thought quickly vanished when I sat on the America.

Still amazes and gives me a kinda elitist attitude when some fella walks right by a shiny new full decked electra glide super duper deluxe and appraises my bike and says...

Welcome home Lohman! You could not have picked a better piece of therapy, or a better motorcycle. On top of that, this site makes it all an even better package. I know, this site has gotten me through 2 deployments to the sandbox by easing the motorcycle withdrawl, and nothing got me back in the right frame of mind faster then a couple of adventures on the back of my America. Thanks for your service and enjoy all that is coming in your near future!
