Noticed today after I FINALLY washed the beast that my front tire balance weights are missing! Please tell me that this could be the cause of the bike wobbling (not quite tank slap, but close) when I lean it over on a curve. If not, what else could I check. Thanks in advance! Be safe!

PSI , worn and / or imbalanced tire , bad shocks , fork problems , low blood sugar , nervousness , improper weight distribution , uneven pavement , and the list grows , on infinitum ad nauseum . ( it could be a whole bunch of things ) .

.....cupped? Didja hit something? How/why are the weights missing? Apes will exaggerate the motion.

First thing to check is tire pressure, wheel bearings (grab the top of the wheel and rock it side to side. You should not feel a 'click clonk' when you do so) and spoke adjustment if you have wire wheels. Check the fork head bearings by pulling/pushing the forks from the front. Same kind of 'click/clonk' feel as a loose wheel bearing if the adjustment is off. Raise the front of the bike and give the wheel a spin to see that the rim and tire run true.
And yes, if you were going over 30 - 40 MPH, an out of balance wheel could wobble.

I have got 10,000 miles riding apes, so I know that it is not that causing the wobble. The balance weights are just mounted with double sided tape so normal wear and tear will drop em off in time if you dont clean the wheels regularly. I have checked for play laterally and for/aft on the tire and fork and that looks good. Tires are treaded up just fine and the air pressure is good. Thinking I need to take it in and get the spokes tuned and tire balanced.

its balance. If it had weights and now does not have weights, it needs weight. It probably has a little bit of a hop that you don't notice until it is leaning in a turn.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

I'd check the rear suspension. They may need to be stiffened up a couple notches.
