I will need to get a new tire to replace the Metzler Lazertec tire only 12000 miles on front tire. Rear Marathon 880 looks great hardly any tread loss. What has your mileage been with this tire b4 replacement. Is it common for the front tire to wear out before the rear? This can get expensive, and I can hear my wife now yak yak. Epically since I just talked her into a new notebook computer. Oh well that life.

I got 16,000km out of rear and 19,000km on the front... you must corner and break hard or there's a problem, I wouldn't have thought the front would wear out first... I like the Metz, worn out 2 sets, now I have a 880 on the front as well, mounted on a TBS wheel...

I got about 13,000 out of my rear 880 and the front is still going strong at 15,000. Hard to tell now but maybe by the end of this season I will need to replace it.

Quite a bit of tire life has to do with road conditions. The materials used can in some cases be more abrasive than other as well as actual conditions, potholes etc... All causing a tire to wear faster. Couple that with an individuals riding habits and there you go.

Wearing out a front first is a new one. I got 11,000 mi from my original front which was twice what I got from the rear. You can go to a Marathon XXL on the front, the 130/70 fits nicely.

35 Front 37 rear, is this tooo much tire pressure? I do ride as hard through the turns as I can. Often at 70 mph in at 35 mph turn. Also, I can't seem to get TBA to 100 mph, highest 95 mph. Just having a blast. I do ride on some bad roads. Rt 22 NY about 10 miles b4 getting to I-90 interchange road is bumpy and lots of patched road where water or sewer lines have been put in and road patched.

I do 38 front 36 rear.. on my BA for the most part but If I want to play in the mountains I usually bump it up a bit. Tighten up the front and it'll handle better... I put 40 to 41 on the Bonnies and that's what I keep the Legend at.
