A freind of mine just installed an oil cooler on his Harley and he was telling me that it was controlled by a thermostat, so the bike could warm up sufficiently before kicking in, this seemed very reasonable to me and it got me wondering if my 2007 TBA's oil cooler was set up the same way. Anybody know?

Nope.. the oil flows all the while the engine is running. Odd that one would have a thermostat... new one on me.

+1 I've never heard of that either...sounds more like a water cooled radiator doesn't it?

there are oil coolers with thermostats in them, it is actually not that rare with cars and i am would not be surprised if the harley coolers worked that way
