Sorry I missed the posting of CT Tech day, must have been lots of fun. Anyone up for a ride April 19 (mostly sunny low 60's or April 20 (Cloudy upper 60's to low 70's). We could have the rally point at Toy Makers or elsewhere. Last fall met at Toy Makers very sloooow service. Could do rally point Kent Center Rt 7. Hope to hear from you guys. RIDE SAFE.

I'll be in MN that week, but maybe the following weekend. If I get my bike back together...

Any good ideas for a good route for our little outing? I don't think small back roads would be a good idea, could have lots of sand on them. Rt 67 from Southbury to New Milford is a nice rode if there are no trucks in front. Then possible rt 7 North to Rt 341 to Rt 3 NY to Rt 22-N NY to Rt 23-E into MA to Rt 8-S.

Jonathan,
Keep us posted on you plans. If the weather is good, that sounds like a nice route. I live in Woodbury, so the first part of the ride would be really easy for me to do.

Those of you who plan to ride, what would be the best rally point, Dunkin Donuts parking lot Southbury off Exit 15 on Rt 84? (From East or West I-84, left(South Main St) at stop light opposite strip mall in Southbury) All suggestions are welcomed.

exit 15 is good for me.I had 10,000 on the America. I love the Tiger. I can ride for a lot longer without any fatigue. Just gotta get the suspension dialed in and all is good!

If I get my bike squared away by then, I'm in for a test ride.
Matt, you still owe me a dollar.

Been on all these roads in the last two weeks, no sand to speak of~~then again i'm no speed demon , plenty of lovely little bugs to decorate my face shield though. Oh, one other thing,,,does anyone else get ridiculed for wearing a helmet in CT.? i just happen to like me noggin,,,

So it seems like meeting at Dunkin Donuts in Southbury will be the rally point. Date Saturday or Sunday?, Saturday sounds like the better of the two days Sunshine 67 in Southbury/ Sunday 62 Cloudy. What time, 9:30 10:00 10:30 11:00?

Big Poppy, Good to hear from you, I'll mis you and your son on this ride. How do the locals down there treat Yankees? Now for the killer question WHAT IS THE PRICE OF GAS there? I's any where from $3.35 to $3.50. regular here and the usual .10 to .20 extra for 89 octane . Hope all is well with you and your family.

Just trying to keep this post as close to the top of list as I can. Aren't there anymore riders out there that would like to join us. Just drop a thread.

Jonathan, Not sure I am going to be able to make it on Saturday. A family situation has come up. However, I definitely would like to do some rides this year especially if you are close by. Try posting on the T-rat site, as I think there are some other CT folks who would be interested in joing you.

So is this ride a bust? I might just head up to Toymakers late sat morning if the ride doesn't work out.

Even if I get my bike back together in time, I don't think I got enough rear tread to go to Toymakers, and back.

Don't be discouraged, it's still early! And I'm not the only one behind schedule! Those of us that can't make GA, will get together, and ride around here.
