Hey, just picked up my '07 Speedmaster last week and I love it! I'm thinking about putting a backrest on it and I'm wondering what would be a better choice, the Triumph one, or the black one on newspeedmaster.com? I'm partial to the black one, but I wanted some other opinions. Thanks for the input, I love the site!

I have the Triumph short with Corbin pad, and my girlfriend loves it, so same here. Some might think the short bar with the new style pad or Corbin pad might be too short, but it keeps her from fallin off. I'm a fan of chrome, too.
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

thanks for the input. Does anyone have the black one? I'm wondering how that compares to the Triumph ones.

I have the black one from newspeedmaster. What can I say; looks good, no complaints from my girlfriend.
Just had to mod the mounting holes on the left side to make it fit (a bit poor quality there but what can you expect for $299?, heh).

And hey if your girlfriend is complaining, remove another baffle. Can't be mad if you can't here it.

I modified a HD FXSTD (?) to fit, it removes quick and easy for solo riding. It is very low key and looks almost factory.

+1 for modifying the HD brackets. Thats what I did, and it looks really good. The older shovelhead sissy bars are just the right width. This is the best pic I have of the brackets and sissy bar right now. I'll post some more tonight.
Learning from my mistakes... again and again.
