Was wondering if anybody on here has had their hubs powdercoated, I just sent mine off to get powdercoated so i was wonderind if there is anything that yopu need to do before putting it back together such as clean the inside of the hub free of any paint or anything else, all of the screw holes will be taped before i get it back but otherwise it should be the way it comes from the powdercoaters. Any tips or advice for me

make sure there is no coating where the bearings and seals go, other then that you should be fine. maybe retap the bolt holes

Make sure the spokes go through easy. they they did a good job the spoke holes would have been corked off to avoid them being blocked.

Dont like what you see??? Big red X in the top right of your screen will fix it!

As the others said, just tape up where the bearings/seals go to ensure no powder goes there, that stuff can be a nightmare to remove! and then tap to holes prior to reassembly

What colour are they going to be?

If you can make the extra effort, a thread chaser is preferred over a tap. From the bottom right of this page on thread repairs:

"This is a graphic example of why you should use a thread chaser instead of a tap or die to clean threads. These two ARP head bolts actually have rolled threads. Running a normal die over the bolt on the right removed a lot of metal, weakening the strength of the bolt."

But really if you get the work done at a quality powder coating shop, you shouldn't have to chase any threads.

I would think that the factory threads in the hub would have been taped anyways, not sure how they would roll the inside threads. But I'm not a machinest.

Can't wait to see the bike when it's done craig! I was about to ask where you got the spoked front wheel until I read your mod list. And do tell what happens if you dyno that 988.

i am looking forward to getting it done too, i'm interested in getting it done just to see what increses have cpme from the changes. Im off to drop the front end and to the podercoaters and hopefully the front guard turns up this week so then i can take the front and rear guards along with the tank for a nice fresh lick of paint.
Below is a poor picture og the handgrips i have added
