I never saw the smaller panniers but even the large ones aren't that deep, but they'l do.

Nice bike, that new tank doesn't look too bad there with the knee pads attached. I really like the new badge, too bad it isn't screwed on and interchangeable with the older ones.

the paint looks good, love the color. to bad that couldn't just make the old tank seamless in these new colors. guess you cant have everything. beautiful bike tho goodluck with it.

That's an impressive amount of chrome on a brand new beautiful bike. You must be very proud (and I'm a little envious). Congratulations, well done.

Good looking bike. Of course, there's always more things you can spend money on. Chrome the shroud covers and battery box and you're completely chromed out. Oh, I forgot, there's also bar end caps, plate holder, ........

Of course you realize that this is just the beginning. You’ll find all sorts of stuff you just can’t do without. My wife calls my bike “The mistress that lives in the garage.”

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Congrats Baz,
Lovely bike, and the knee pads are a good idea with the wider tank. I'll add them to my list. I'm getting mine in May so I'm envious, but it's definitely you who's caused the snow.
enjoy

Looking good Baz, Congrats just pray for nice weather, and we'll see you at DENT

Put something under the strap that holds the bags together under the rear seat to stop it scratching the paint on the rear mudguard Baz

Fine and sunny here, but that wind is making it really cold on the old fingers. Just came home for lunch then probably out for an hour or so

Baz, I'm still real curious about the new larger bags. Unlike the original small bags, they claim they are made of good quality leather? Are there snaps under the buckles? What's the inside like?

Your pics were great, not having seen the new bags in person, I was hoping to get more info.

Just noticed, they forgot to fit the throttle position sensor on your carbs. Get that checked out at the first service.

Yep the leather is of good quality although a little soft for my liking. Snaps under the buckles I like for speed and ease. The panniers could do with being a little deeper. I had Givis hard luggage on my last bike, they could hold far more junk. Hope my thoughts help. Overall

The quality does look a LOT better than my original slants. I also like the snaps - much easier than having to unbuckle. Thanks for posting. One suggestion - put some protective plastic film on the rear fender under the yoke (and pillion feet while you're at it). If you don't, the leather will rub and mar the paint.

Cheers Ray,good thinking, Ive got some of that non-slip fabric stuff in the garage, i'll put some under the bag straps.

I'm gunna try and get enough miles on it before Dent so its had its first service.

Look forward to meeting you at Dent.

Looks okay to me. That badge says Hinkley all over it. Out with the old, in with the new. I like that color (you say tomatoe I say tomater.) Similar to my old 82 suzi.

Man, looks like you got yourself a nice ride. Enjoy and please remember to keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.

Cheerio!
