I would like to move my rear pegs down and forward so i can move my feet back there for a change of pace and possibly stand up on big bumps. I have looked at what Brent has and I am not sure I like any of them. I kinda like the tribal one but I have flames on my bags and don't know if i could mix and match. I don't like the looks of the flame ones at all. I thought I saw someones pics on here where they had something that was like a fluted cut out. Any ideas or other stuff out there I would like to see them.

You can do away with the elephant ears altogether and simply screw the peg in the exhaust bracket hole. Same thread.

Chop! thats what I did. removed Elephant Ears altogether and screw into lower Elephant Ear mounting hole only when needed. Wife likes new position better, as she suffers from a bad back. If I had a girlfriend, she'd like it better to, I'd bet.

remove the foot peg from the bracket, then bracket from the bike, screw foot peg into lower front hole for bracket--here's a pic, ignore the hanging wire, was in process of chopping rear fender---hope this helps, i'm 6'1" and like to move my feet around alot--puts me in a "jockey ride'n horse" position

I have a template on my desktop at home that I can send to you tomorrow (I am on the road on my laptop tonite). It moves the pegs down a bit. Shoot me a PM with your email address if your interested.

Best looking black girl around! 2004 SM-spokes, solo seat, lowered rear, 14 in apes, bobber rear fender, no front fender. Flat black all the way around. Jeff

I have just carried out this mod on my America, I cut out the brackets for pegs from 8mm plate added a set of chrome rear pegs and fiitted the brackets behind the origonal rear peg hangers. Additional foot pegs fit between sproket case and existing rear footpeg hangers. It is also necessary to file a reccess in rear footpeg hanger for clearance of bracket. I will take a picture of footpegs on the bike along with the template and try to attach to this thread. later on in the week

Or you can buy Brent's stain less flame rear peg hangers that will relocate the rear pegs forward quite a bit as well as looking very handsome.

This sounds really interesting, I am not sure that I've got it pictured right in my mind. Can't wait for the pics/ template.
