First of all if this was to be infringing any copyright let me know and it won't happen Robert.

You will have seen the Dent thread if you are from the Uk, if not Ray is not doing his job
You will have seen Rays designs as well.
I have a small collection of auto badges and Rays marvelous designs got me thinking about a badge for our machines. I have made enquiries and these are possible.

This one is the original bar mount type.

The above is also avalible without bottom mounting and with a rear Grill type mounting.

This is rear mounting oval shape.

And the mounting that could be adapted in meny ways.

If numbers are right I will work out prices, dont forget you can put one on your car as well.

Thanks ray for the images.

What about Speedie riders?!!!

There are at least 3 of us over here, surely that warrants some sort of recognition, rather than being lumped in with "you lot"!!!!

You Speedmaster pilots will have to speak to Ray for adaptations to the design.

One offs are possible but cost more, need to be buying about 30 to get price reasonable.

I think it should be left as it is, as the site (Bonnevilleamerica) is dedicated to all the twins

What dimensions are you looking at for the badges it may be that one on will fit to the rear the sissy bars

David, I think it will fit there, I am awaiting exact dimensions and will post them.
Atachment to the sissy bar could of course be by drilling holes and screwing on from behind the pad, I would use some of the double sided tape they use for number plates though on the bracket with the mounting bit cut off. Another spot I thought of was round the battery strap.

Even this one, does not look as good as the original.. Also this would incorporate the standard bonneville models as well..

Leave as the original is my 2p worth

Now we need some numbers, for this style prices are as follows.

1 x Badge GBP 17.50
10 x Badges GBP 15.00
30 x Badges GBP 12.50
50 x Badges GBP 11.50

There will be postage on top of that, when we have a final number I suggest we round it up to whatever and send the extra to the future fund.

Lets aim for 30.

I will take 2.

I like the idea of keeping a tradional feel about the bike so a Union Jack on the sissy bar would be ok with me.

I dont want to be seen as boasting about being Scottish either.

last year I saw a fella doing patch designs directly onto jackets at Storming the castle so I think this year that may be an idea get the Scots design done directly onto my Jacket as another wee show memento.

I think it would be better to have the original badge made up as designed by Robert ( you may also pick up some oversea's sales that way)

But if you are going to go with the UK, then you should change the outline to exclude Ireland (& Cornwall if you read CornishCelt's posts on the subject.)

Hi Shaun, I did look at excluding part of Ireland, but did not think Cornwall was not part of the UK.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutional_status_of_Cornwall

I think Stephens idea was to just supply the UK anyway?

I'm not sure of the status of Cornwall, always thought it part of Great Britain,

CornishCelt can keep us right here I'm sure.

On my European Union passport it says
"United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland"

(Course I could apply for an Irish pasport)

So you are correct in that Southern Ireland is not part of the UK.

We could go with the BA logo but I would like permission first from Robert I guess.

I dont intend to make a profit out of this so its not realey sales I am after.

We could get the badges made up for the UK region, think we are on target for quite a few and see how the quality of them is and perhaps then look into a the world wide logo.

Thats 7 badges so far
Let this run over the weekend and see how we go, If I get the order of quick enough I could bring them to Dent and save a bit of postage.

Top job Ray. look strange, but correct.
You got IOM in there.

Cheers Stephen, it was either leave all of Ireland in and change northern Ireland to Black while the rest was white. Then I thought just leave N. Ireland

+1

IMHO

Think there should be some guidelines/rules from Robert or/and the Moderators about changing the design of the badge.

Not that the canges look bad or anything, but the original should not be altered, additional text should be placed outside the badge in my opinion.

I think it may be a little late for guidelines, when you look at the Euro Rally patches, also T-shirts that have been made up some with the original logo and other changed slightly.

At the end of the day, they are advertising the site, which cannot be a bad thing
