as I remember there was a cigarette lighter option for the america.....I once thought about installing one of those for a cell phone charger.....I would check with triumph and see where they install the lighter....

I have the battery tender plug on my battery. I have a cigarette lighter type outlet on a coiled cord I got from Harbor Freiight that I cut the male cigarette lighter end off of and soldered a plug to mate up with the battery tender plug. So I have the female cig. lighter socket on one end and the tender plug on the other. I have a small spotlight, phone charger, and something I am forgetting I'm sure that I can plug into that.

There is an accessory power socket available from Triumph. It mounts into a round hole in the rear triangle-shaped engine mount that bolts to the frame and to a boss on the back of the cylinder head.
There is a t-shaped connector in the harness under the tank that is "hot" all the time that plugs onto the socket.
The Triumph socket is not cigarette-lighter size. It is what they call a "BMW" plug size - smaller. You can buy adapters to connect there and power all sorts of things, or you could adapt that harness connector to suit your needs.

It comes off of fuse #3 - 10 amps in the fuse box. I rewired mine direct to the battery with a 15 amp inline fuse.
I connect my heated clothing there and also hook my battery tender there as well. I have an adapter for my cel phone also.
There is probably more info in the tech vault regarding aftermarket sockets and adapters that will fit in the same mounting place and others.

You can go to Powerlet and order the Standard Powerlet Socket (PSO-001 $15.95) and the Cigar adapter cable (PAC-002 $19.95), which will allow you to connect any US cigarette plug to your bike. The Standard Powerlet Socket has the same pin configuration and mounts the same as the Triumph power adapter.
