How do you replace a lens on the indicator lights on the gas tank of an 07 America? The oil lamp lens is missing. I have a replacement lens by don't understand how it's intalled. Appreciate the help. -- John

Remove the console via the three retaining screws and unplug it from the harness. Now push the rubber boot of the oil lamp lens through the face of the console. Install the lens into the boot and then push it back into position.

Thanks, Gina, but I have a new lens. Just wondering how it goes in. Chy's explaination makes sense. Sure don't see how it could disappear, though.

I think the glass part over the top of an oil lamp is called a globe??? I'm sure the "old timers" with chime in with the correct answer.

Thanks for asking the question John cos by coincidence, the other day I got home and realised I had no oil indicator lense either. Don't know what happend to it but ordered one for a mere $20AUD delivered . Anyway, now I know how to fit it.
