So I did a search of the forums and couldn't find anything...but I thought I had seen something like this before...so I'm sorry if this has been posted before. I'm looking for some mirrors that actually will look decent on my bike but still have ok visibility. I tried the small Arlen Ness mirrors on it and they are just too hard to see out of. I don't like the huge mirrors, but those were way too small. What mirrors do you like?

Lots of people like these for size and practacality. Use your original stems I beleive. Fast Eddy I personally use the BellaCorse mirrors but they are on the small side.

I run the mirrors off of a HD Night Train. They are low profile, but they are large enough to allow clear visibility to the rear. The Night Train mirrors are black, but they have they same mirrors in chrome. They werer about $80 from the local HD dealer, but you can find them on ebay pretty easily. Lots of HD guys pull them and replace them with custom mirrors, so they can be found for pretty cheap. You would also need some of Brents adaptors.
Learning from my mistakes... again and again.

I bought a pair from fast Eddy but the machine is still in the garage so the jury is still out. I like the looks a lot better than the mickey mouse ears.

I have these on my bike. pretty cool me thinks. If you get some adaptors the selection of mirrors is alot larger.

The tear drop Yamaha Warrior heads fit out stems and look really good.

I was looking at the Ness micro mirrors as well, so they are tiny huh? happen to have a picture with them still on your bike?
BTW, get yourself a copy of the J&P HD and Metric catalogs, plenty of choices there, you'll most likely need Brent's adaptors to make some of those fit properly.
The bad thing about looking at mirrors on web sites and catalogs is that you really don't have a good idea on how they'll look on the bike.
dahla, how's the visibility on those?

The mirror head on Wendys bike is very close to these and you can see very well out of them. Her stalks mount the same using adapters I made but you can now buy the same thing. Her stalks are flames. This is the best shot of them I have in my photobucket acct.

If using after market add ons and Brents adaptors make sure you check for and loosen a very small set screw at the base of mirror stem.

Yep, they work good, look good and it's an easy swap. Not sexy, but you do get a real good look at what's behind you.

sorry it's taking me so long to get a picture to you...work and school has kept me away from the bike the last couple of days. The Ness mirrors look great, but if you want to be able to see anything they're not so great

Go back to the Ness online store website. Click on handlebar accesories.Arrow down to Big Eye and Stocker Mirrors, Click on it. It will open up & show 3 options. I went for the Big Eye Grooved 13- 026. AWESOME! I ordered the adaptors from Newspeedmaster.com though. Good luck

Snows,,, was think'n more like this-- but can only find them for 7/8" bars--like that they "sit" inside bar and not "clamp" on outside--just a matter of individual taste

Anybody have any experience with the Ness mirrors? Quality, fit, finish, vibration, etc? I like the look of these:
http://shop.arlenness.com/store/productdetail.asp+SID+1+Category_ID+71+Product_ID+6944
I'll let you know soon enough, mine are on the way, got them 10 bucks cheaper on ebay.
Thanks to speedmastergirl for sending me the pics of her mirrors mounted on the bike, thanks to those I was able to make up my mind.
I'll post some pics as soon as I get them installed.

Alright here are my new Arlen Ness mirrors mounted. I still have to go for a ride, maybe tomorrow if I'm not too busy but the quality and finish are great. They fit ok but I think that they would fit better with Brent's adapters. I like the look, no more Mickey ears for me!

Either one, just wiggle them out, there is a little metal piece that will probably be left behind.

So, how are your drilled stem mirrors? Do they vibrate? My original mickey mouse mirrors did not vibrate but my drilled stem tear drop ones vibrate between 3800 and 4300 rpm.
