I went up to the gas station Friday night for something, can of dip I think. I notice 2 fireturcks in the Applebees parking lot, eating dinne I am sure.. Anyhow as i am leaving the store I see 6 firefighters running in full sprint to the trucks. being a former and with any luck soon to be firefighter again, I knew that was not good. I noticed they were heading in the direction of my house, no big deal lots of houses in my neighborhood, as well as many other neighbord hoods along the way. As I pull into my neighborhood I smell smoke and see bits of ash in the air. it only gets worse as I get closer. I down shift and take off to my house, knowing there are only a few houses between where I was and my house. Thank goodness it was not my house. I am now on a mission, a mission to find out what is burning.. As I leave my driveway I see this,,
So I drive the bike closer and its as real bbq going on, FD has a total of 7 pieces of appartus on scene,the have the quint ready to flow water, and are doing everything they can ot get this thing under control..
house was 300sf, family of 4 2 kids one less then 4 months old, everyone got out safe, and no one was hurt. Fd was on scene within 3 min of the 911 call being placed. House went up like a box of matches!!!
