Former F1 World Champion beats the pack - on a Triumph 675! http://www.visordown.com/motorcyclenews/view/schumacher_scores_maiden_motorcycle_victory/4099.html FORMER Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher followed up the third-place on his motorcycle race debut in Hungary last week with first place in Barcelona - riding a Triumph Daytona 675. Schumacher won the 14-lap race in Spain last weekend, fuelling rumours that he's preparing to compete at a higher level - possibly on a factory-prepared bike next season. 2007 MotoGP world champion Australian Casey Stoner was impressed with the former multiple-F1 champion's testing times when Schumacher rode Stoner's 800cc Ducati Desmosedici GP7 last November.

These are amazing machines. Go ride on if you have not. while I was at Eurosports, a guy was trying to decide between a Duc and the Daytona. The owner (who carries both lines) said, "there is no contest. The triumph is a far better machine." Tony is a former racer himself, and has raced Ducati and Moto Guzzi, so he has some track knowledge.

I'm not surprised that a F-1 driver would have fast enough eyes and reflexes to pilot a Daytona to victory.

There is no question that the 675 is an awesome machine. I think we'll continue to hear good news from the racing world as the team gets more experience with the machine.
