I recently replaced my stock TBA exhaust with TOR pipes. The headers already had a little blueing but it seems to be getting worse. I bought some Blu-out polish, have not used it yet but are the new pipes making it worse. Will the blue come right back after polish or do I need to do something with the air mixture or something else. Would like the keep the nice chrome look to the headers. Any help?

I have been told removing the Air Injection (AI)Unit will minimize this problem. When I got my 06 America used with 4000 miles the guy that had it before me removed the AI but the header pipes stil "Blued". It is probably running lean if I am not mistaken. Maybe someone else can offer a more specific fix.

Thanks for the note. I should have noted that. The AI is removed. Still stock air filter and pilots - I think. I bought used but everything was fairly stock when I got it.

might need to open the pilot screws some and maybe a slightly larger main for the TORs. Shouldn't need to go up much on the main if at all and the pilot screws shouldn't need to be opened much yet either. AI should be removed. Most guys pipes blue a little over time. 1 or 2 guys say theirs don't but mine do. I might have to polish the blue out after a couple seasons.
