Has anyone had any experience with the AGV Miglia (aka- AGV Longway) flip up Modular Helmet? It's gotten some good reviews for it's price point and it has a stainless steel chin guard latch instead of plastic.

I'm considering going to a modular from my current HJC AC-3 open face with flip down visor.

2003 Speedmaster I won't rise to the occasion, but I'll slide over to it.

I am in the same process but it's really hard to get a good feel for which make and model to choose. So far the KBR looks pretty good as does the HJC and now that AGV...

I am in the same process and a Nolan Modular had my attention but I am leaning towards the AGV Miglia for a few of it's positives that I have read about.

For one, it can be flipped up at a number of set positions without falling down or moving. Secondly I have read that it is light and quiet.

I wish there was an AGV dealer here so I could actually put one on. I can order one but it's always kind of iffy with the sizing and fit. I wear a Large with my HJC AC-3 and the AGV Miglia is 'suppose' to run true to size.

I know the feeling. So far only Bell's R/T in Medium has really fit me properly. I'd really, really like some chin/mandible protection because I don't know if I can get my head turned sideways in time during an accident.

I just ponied up for one of the Miglias sight unseen; based on reviews it seems like the one to go with for the price. My xyl reminded me the other day that I'm a family man with responsibilities and so I'm switching from my half helmet. I'll post my humble opinion when it arrives.

i just bought the Miglia modular and i love it. light, comfortable and does not wiggle around at speed, could use a little better ventilation but a very comfortable helmet.

I received my AGV Miglia helmet a couple days ago, and since the sun was out Saturday, took a ride. Bearing in mind that I haven't owned a full face helmet since the mid 70s I was pleasantly suprised. good fit (similar to Nolan) and not much wind noise. I hate the seatbelt buckle, much prefer d-rings, but other than that I like it. Could be vented better though. It's a good helmet and great bargain, in my opinion

I bought mine a good while ago because I wear glasses and the modular helmet is MUCH more convenient. Here are my observations:
1. fit is great for those with an oval shaped head as I do
2. good latch...but must use a little oomph to get it latched
3. Cheek pads too tight...makes my cheeks go to sleep after about an hour
4. Ventilation iffy
5. Good for commute to work...but wear my fullface Icon on longer trips
6. Good chin clearance...this should be a major consideration.
7. PRICE...picked mine up for $59 USD
I wear this helmet 75% of the time but that is mostly to and from work.

I believe you can get different pads, I think, would be a good Idea
Also, if an Icon Alliance frame helmet fits well this one will.

Hope this helps a little.

I have been using a Nolan modular and would recommend it. Ventilaton is good and the visor never fogs up. Easy to open and resonable wind noise at speed.
