Well guys and gals, I'm no longer part of your club. I raise my glass to all of you. This site has all the camaraderie of my group of buddies here at home, and I've only ever met two members of BA.com, yet I feel that I know many of you personally. This site has helped me get through college (at 2 am when I needed a distraction), I shared the arrival of my son, and now my daughter in June. I've been the benefactor of lots of good advice, lots of good deals, and even some free stuff. I'll be posting some of my stuff that I kept when the Speedie went away. I'll try to remember what was gifted to me and return the favors. If you are curious, I ended up with a Bandit 1200. I got one with 8k on it for an even trade on the SM, plus the usual title fees and such. We both think we got a great deal. The bikes are worlds apart, and the B12 fits my needs. I put a couple hundred miles on it and no back pain- yea! Although the Zook, has a lot of things that I like (pipe, air box kit, timing advancer- sound familiar?) it will never have the history or the soul of the speedy. I did the right thing- I took the Speedy to her new home and said good bye. I'll miss that bike. I wish all of you the best. I'll pop in occasionally and say hello, offer some marginal advice, get a grin from the happenings in all ya'lls lives. Be safe and take care of one another. Bryan Jennings

Hey Bryan,
Glad to hear you found a more "suitable" ride. It's all about the ride . Insights, suggestions & observations are always welcome here. If this motley "club" lets me hang around...
or as our brother Newt would say, ENJOY!

Ride smart and ride safe...and drop in and visit once in a while.

Bryan,
Ride Safe and be sure to check in from "the outside" every now and again and let us know how things are! I feel your "pain" literally, I'm hoping this year will be different (first full season with the Corbin and a back rest!)

Enjoy the new ride. Ultimately, it's not about brands, it's about bikes! Ride on!

Hate to hear you let the speedy go, but it sounds like you did the right thing for you. If I could have two bikes I'd certainly look hard at the Bandit. It's a great bike. Maybe we'll see you around sometime.

Well, you're still part of the family. The most important part about getting a bike is getting one that fits you the best physically and fills all your needs. Congrats on finding that bike.

Okay folks. Here's my 5 bucks. I'll bet sometime in the future Bryan here is gonna buy a nice used Speedmaster that'll sit right next to that Suzuki in his garage.
(they never get over those feelings about these bikes, ya know)
Congrats on the Bandit acquisition there, Bryan. That Suzuki is maybe the best all around standard motorcycle on the market today. It does everything well. But as I mentioned, I'll bet you'll eventually miss the sound and feel of a twin somewhere down the road, dude.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Best of luck to you with the bike and thanks for all the help with the pipes and everything. Hope the new bike eases the back pain too man. Gotta choose what makes the most sense for you.
