Hello fellow riders!

Having run about 600 miles after belt installation, I get a whistling sound on acceleration (i.e. when adding torque). I haven't looked into it in detail, but belt looks tight and aligned, and there no sound when turning rear wheel by hand or when driving downhill. Ideas, anyone?

According to the mechanbic that installed my belt system that's a sign that the belt is too tight. The problem with the belt drive is that we don't have a whole lot to go on as far as what's right and what's wrong for the set up. Try giving Ozzie a call. I purchased a belt tension gauge for 20 bucks from Harley. 5/16 to 3/8 applying 10 lbs pressure with a rider on the bike. You definitely don't want the belt loose.
