Well, I have tried everything and the Pingel still leaks. I thought I had it fixed and put the bike away for the winter covered up. I uncovered it and found the clutch cover had gas running down it. The edge of the tank where the mount is was wet. So, WHAT'S THE FIX TO GET THIS THING TO STOP LEAKING???????????????????

Is it possible you over tightened it and warped the flange?

I had that problem after about 9 months after installing, at first I thought it was from a SEA FOAM treatment... anyway, I bought a sealant from Auto Zone that was supposed to be fuel resistant, well that only worked for a day or two. Then I went to Home Depot and got Seal All for gas and oil. Says It works to seal carb floats, so I gave it a try. Put it on the threads, then teflon tape, then another coat of Seal All over that, let dry for a minute screwed it in, let sit for a day or two, then filled with fuel. No leaks!!! The adapter plate never had a leak, just the threads, but now I think its good to go. Its been a couple months now, and the leak has not returned.

It's the base plate that leaks. Where it screws into the base plate is fine. I use thread tape there and no leaks. Just leaks at the base plate. Thanks

Try making a cork gasket and that Seal All. It should cure what ails you.

Mine leaked at the base too so I did a double paper and Seal All treatment. No leaks at all since.

3-4 months with my Pingel adn no leaks yet. I used all teh oem stuff that came wiht it. Maybe they changed the formula and the new stuff is better? If/when you remove it again check the base against a straight edge and see if its warped. Also...chech the bottom of your tank for warpage, leftover crud, etc...
