Well I was cleaning out my Garage and found 2 Quarts on Mobil 1 4T and 2 Quarts of Mobil 1 V twin oil. Now knowing that one is 10/40 and the other is 20/50 would it hurt to mix them?? The Mad Scientist in me says go for it buy the Reserve side of me says better ask here first.

I believe the rule of thumb is that mixing is okay but you have to use the lower value of the oil as your guide, i.e. you'd end up with 10/40. However, I have been wrong many times and a better brain on oil will surely post a proper answer.

I'm pretty sure you can mix synthetics which have the same chemical composition. Because they are both made by Mobil for motorcycles, that shouldn't be a problem. You would probably end up with a 15W-45 weight which fits the Triumph requirment profile.

Since winter is pretty well done for, but mid sumer is still well in the future, I doubt you will have any problems. I would, however, avoid extreme riding without the ability to lab test the results.

The way wide viscosity range oil is made, is a long polymer chain that rolls up when it is cold. Rolled up compact molecules make thin oil that behaves like straight SAE10, 20 or whatever at 0F. As the oil warms up, the chains unroll becoming more bulky, acting as much heavier oil, 40 50 or whatever, at the upper temp range. The bad part is that the polymer chains tend to break down when very hot, leaving you with oil that is thin as water. Still not as bad as mineral oils that form hard carbon crystals when they overheat.
