I am looking at getting a Tiger. So far out of the 3 dealers that I have talked to only one has a Tiger in stock, and it is a White one. Would prefer either the Caspian Blue or Jet Black. I guess I'll wait a couple of months and see if they get the color I am looking for.

My first choice is the Jet Black, and then Caspian Blue. The White is ok (it's what I demoed at Bike Week). Blazing Orange I just cannot see, maybe if I saw it in person. Now if it was Cardinal Red then I would consider it.
I wouldn't mind getting the bike from Triumph of North Georgia just not sure how I would get there to pick the bike up. If I have to I will just order the bike from one of the 3 dealers near me.

The Tiger in black is absolutely stunning from my perspective. Really, it's worth the effort to get the one you want, buy it right the first time, & have no regrets.

I think the white one looks like a Euro cop BMW. Which I like. I really like the Tiger. I want it as a 2nd bike, but I don't have the space or the cash to have 2 at this point....
If I got the black one I'm afraid I'd be spending all of my money on Carbon Fiber replacements for all the shiny metal pieces. Might do that with the white too...

Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

yeah, now that I see that black one again, I am rethinking the carbon fibre and thinking gold anodized for the shiny bits in the back would look really good.

If interested my dealer in St Pete has a black 07 in stock. Could probably get a heck of a deal on it right now.

I can't wait to get out on it again. I'm on tiger1050.com-I'm matts1050 there. I have the heated grips, side panniers, tailpack, and centerstand. I have the mirror extenders and MRA Vario windshield from twisted throttle. I would love to do the scroll buttons mod. How tough was it to solder on the board? My next toy is GPS. Matt

Matt,
I am also on the Tiger1050.com board as "tcv" . Still looking for that 2008 Jet Black ABS Tiger. No one seems to have any 2008s as of yet, and only a few dealers have any 2007 Tigers.
My plan is to get the following Triumph accessories with the bike: Center Stand Kit Tank Pad Carbon Fiber Tail Pack (27 liters) GPS Connector Kit Aux Power Socket Service Manual
And then get the following from Twisted Throttle after I get the bike: Helmet Guardian, Black GIVI V46 Monokey Topcase (46 liters) GIVI E41 Keyless Monokey sidecases (pair) SW-Motech Toprack SW-Motech GIVI Toprack adapter plate SW-Motech Quick-lock sideracks SW-Motech GIVI sidecase Adapter plate MRA Vario Touring Screen SW-Motech Crashbars/Engine Guards PIAA Auxiliary headlight kit 55-watt Tom

The MRA Vario is a cool shield. I haven't had enough time to dial it in yet. Gengras in Hartford, CT has many 2007 Tigers available. I was going to wait until the '08s came out but Gengras had a 2 day blitz and I got a brand new Tiger out the door for $9000. I may order a GPS today along with the mount. Good luck!

Matt, the scroll button mods is EAAASY as long as you open up the clock in a clean area and route the cable carefully through a small hole and soldering the wires on is easy as long as you "tin" the short end of wire first therefore reducing the amount and length of time with the iron on the motherboard about 1 second per tag should bond the lead. I put some pics of the location of my buttons different to the others. Search for "trip switch's" I got the Garmin satnav mounted on a Scrambler bar brace, perfect way to mount any of the satnav's!!!

Hey Mike, I'll give it a try sometime. Just a little nervous about burning up the board. Is it easy to tell where to solder the wires? I ordered a Garmin 2610 with a 2 gb card today. Also ordered the GPS connector from the dealer. Aerotech has a closeout deal on the RAM mount. So I'm ready to go with that. I'll have a look at the clock box when I install the power connector. Let you know!

Just put a deposit down on a 2007 Jet Black ABS Tiger. Machines in Motion in Cumming, GA gave me a very good deal. So I will be doing a road trip to Georgia this Friday. Chy please take great care of my Black Beauty, and I will see you Friday or Saturday. Tom

Have Chy check the shifter linkage for tightness. A few people over at tiger1050.com had them come loose. A little Loctite does the trick. It's a great bike. The mirror extenders from twisted throttle is a good first accessory. Centerstand is another. Good luck!

Congrats...I'm jealous.
Mind if I ask for a ballpark on what a very good deal is these days? Don't feel you need to answer that if I'm being too nosy.

Well for about $12,000 I got a 2007 ABS Tiger with just over $1,000 worth of Triumph accessories, plus over $1,100 in GIVI hardcases and SW-Motech hardware for mounting it all. I consider it a very good deal, with the best part being that Machines in Motion really worked with me to make this deal as painless as possible.
Was it the best deal money wise, probably not, but Machines in Motion made the whole process thus far as painless as possible, with Matt really making great efforts to work with me at all levels. Basically they did more for me in a couple of minutes over the phone than all the dealers in this area did after visiting their dealerships and talking with them for over 30 minutes.
Being up front and honest goes a very long way with me.
Ryan, sometime in early April I'll ride up to your area, and you can show me how to really ride one of these Triples. It should be fun!!!

Let's just hope that if you ever decide to switch out the seat, it isn't the most ridiculous experience of your life, like it was for me on the Sprint. Come on Triumph give me a break on the design. Thank goodness I get to the gym, or I never would have had the strength to get that bugger into place and bolt it down while using both a screwdriver (to hold back the foam padding from the bolt and bolt hole - with every ounce of strength that I have) and a 5mm t-allen. Total job to line up and bolt down a new, stiff gel seat ....wait for it.......1.5 hours. I finally had to close the garage for fear of scaring off the neighbors with my language.

Tom,
I demo rode a white Tiger 60-70 miles last fall. Not being familiar with triple colour debates, which one has the best grin factor. I liked it, ride safe brother

Nope.. only a Sprint.... what an aggravating experience eh?
I serviced out a 08 Graphite colored Sprint today.. very good looking bike. I always save the seat install till last.

Arrived home yesterday and put Black Beauty in the Garage, and then proceeded to install the Center Stand, Carbon Fiber Tank Protector, Aux Power adapter (didn't attach to wire harness, because I didn't want to remove the tank when it was full), Tail Pack and then cleaned her up. Well I have to go, I have a full tank and at least 100 miles to go today....

Great! glad you got her home. You can see the harness for that aux power connector from the left side.. look through the frame then upward and it's taped to the harness just to the rear of the tank. Two wires.. purple and black (I think)
Hope you enjoyed your ride today.. cold here.. and sucky..

I am sure Tom is having fun, and I cannot wait to meet up with his new ride. Yes, the 1050cc no likkee the break-in pace much. It is actually difficult to stay within the parameters while going through the gears.
Did I mention that I love my 1050cc?

Summer riding around 190miles before I start looking for fuel. Tank holds 5.2 gallons and MPG averages 42mpg city to 50 mpg highway riding based on my experience.
