Stupid F#@$%r!!! Red light, stopped in the left lane and check my mirror for approaching traffic from behind, and when I look up, the Canadian moron in a Honda Element in front of me, decided to BACK INTO ME!!!! I was on the Geezer Harley, lookin down the left side of the car, with my spots and headlight on and he HIT ME! EERRRGFGGGG!!! Broke my left spot and turn sig, bent the bar, bent the crashbar, and ripped the fairing bra. I held the bike up, barely. He was on his way to Miami with the family and guess what?? HE DIDN"T SEE ME! He even said, "I just saw the sign in Cocoa Beach that saie to 'Look Twice for bikes' "
I didn't hit him....
I deserve a medal for that little bit of control.

Thanks all...yup, I'm o.k. and now am self medicating with scotch...
We reached a reasonable cash ...'get out of my face' settlement. I have the name, license and tag #, so if my aches are more of a problem, I'll get back with the Ins. co.
I think he was trying to turn right across 3 lanes to get to I-95.... Dumb @ss...
I'm glad his wife got out and he had a couple of teen girls in the vehicle.,.. it probably kept me from acting uncivilized.....
sooooo, boys and girls....remember... you really can't anticipate every meove the cagers can use to hurt you!

At least he didn't try to say you rear-ended him. That happened to my daughter. She got backed into, then the morons tried to blame her for running into them. Police ended up not citing anyone and let the insurance sort it out.

That is a helpless feeling, especially in traffic when you couldn't even think about backing up..
It's happened to me a few times - a semi truck decides to make a turn and the road is too small so every one backs up to give him room,,,, except the guy behind you.
Never got hit, but it sure is a seat pucker moment.

Best part, thankfully you wern't hurt. Also, thankfully that is not your only bike. I've been saying this for years now: a man can never have too many bikes. Although it's a pain when they all need to be cleaned at once since usually the car is dirty too.
