Might as well get a hand full or two of those glorious Moravian Lemon cookies for dessert while you're at it.

Now Mr. Pipedr,

I'll admit out loud and in public that I've tagged and tattoed probably hundreds of pigs ears over the last 18 years, but I never ate one

Must be a southern thang. Three of us were in one of the franchise "Cracker Barrel" restaurants for breakfast a month ago. One old boy put some grape jam on his grits. Upon witnessing this food sacriledge the other young guy from Virginia became visibly upset

But you do have me interested now

Chitlins are too chewy for me,grits are too bland, but I would try almost any food once. Pigs ear doesn't sound bad. I each pork rhinds, scrapple, deer heart and liver, and many other things people would consider strange. I am a northerner too. I grew up on a farm and I know whats in scrapple too! LOL My mom puts apple butter on hers I like mine just plain fried crispy on the outside.Pork ear or snout I would try, however head cheese looks nasty. Can also count me out on haggis.

Can't say I've had the lemon cookies, but I've had me a tin or ywo of Moravian sugar cookies, and also some Southern cheese straws.

Oh, and my dear Yankee brethren - hush up 'bout them grits!!! Especially them hot bubbly cheesy grits. Them's good eats - I ain't talkin' INSTANT. Ya gotta go slow and stir ya a bunch.

Well if its a breakfast of champions you want. A full Scottish fry up is what is needed.

Sausage, (Links)
Square sliced sausage,
Ham,
Eggs,
Potato scones,
Fruit pudding,
Black Pudding,
Mushrooms,
Beans,
Fried tomato,
Slice of fried bread,
and if yer really greedy a slice of dumpling.

All washed down with a large mug of hot sweet tea.

The cholesterol I suppose is through the roof. This breakfast can cure any hangover. It will also sustain you for most of the day,and evening as well. My mouth is watering and am drooling over my keyboard as I write this.

I cannot decide whether to be a good example or a horrible warning ! Peace & respect http://www.tomcc.org/gg/ Eric

In the movie 'North Dallas Forty', Nick Nolte and Mac Davis broke into the team trainer's medicine cabinet, grabbed some #3 codeine, washed it down with Budweiser and said,
"Breakfast of Champions."

Nothing like porridge. Porridge taste good. Grits are (very rude word) disscusting

My wife has tried to get me to eat those things and im having non of it. Most of these 'Southern Delicacies' are not worth crossing the street for.

Give me a Steak and Kidney pie and mash, washed down with a cup-a-tea, and Spotted Dick with custard to follow. Now thats some good eating right there.

And Steak and Eggs, who in gods name came up with that combination.

Ooooh, you are making me hungry.

I can do with out the Black Pudding and mushrooms, and i have no idea what fruit pudding is but it sounds good, but you missed of a couple of rashers of danish bacon and dont forget the chips.

Nothing better than stopping at some road side cafe and being served a full "English Breakfast" by Fag Ash Lille.

I used to drive multi drop for Carryfast. First delivery every morning was the Harrods Food Halls. Every morning i used to stop at a cafe just around the corner from Harrods. Full breakfast and a bottomless cup of tea for 3 quid......luvly jublee.

Yep, shrimp & grits is the real deal...especially slow cooked stone ground grits and wee bit of hot sauce to perk things up.
