Hi all.
Could someone tell me how the seat pan of a custom solo seat is attached to the bike. Is it just bolted up through the cross bar below the original seat. two bolts rear and one at the front ?.

Regards
Derek

My Corbin is configured to mount exactly the same as the original. There is a catch in the frame at the front and a single bolt at the back.

I,ve got an America which came stock with a solo seat and pillon pad for a passenger. The Speedmaster has a touring saddle that is similar to a gunfighter seat. That configuration has a catch at the front, a latch in the middle, and a single bolt at the rear.

I would think you would remove the latch hardware that is mounted to the middle of the fender to reveal a bolt hole that you use to attach the solo seat at the rear of the seat.

There is a special bolt on the America that has a slot to fit the front mount of the P-pad which mounts at the rear with a bolt to the current location as your touring saddle.

Its more fun to be ridin'! I'm still ridin

I fabbed up a bracket that attaches to the gas tank mount bolt and then to the front of the seat. I then tapped in 2 double sided bolts (like off of a auto water pump) in the back to the frame for the rear springs to rest on. Very secure...kind of a pain to tighten the front nut, but it can be done. I'll look for some pics for you.
Good luck

Best looking black girl around! 2004 SM-spokes, solo seat, lowered rear, 14 in apes, bobber rear fender, no front fender. Flat black all the way around. Jeff
