I hope one of the astronauts will have a bad tummy ache tonight and they will ask me to go in his place!!! Just in case they don't call, I set the alarm clock to wake me for the blastoff. That would be a serious ride with some heavy horsepower.

Yep. Live from strap in to SRB separation to MFT release to secure orbit. It's riveting.

Do a search on YouTube for "shuttle liftoff cockpit". You'll find several videos from within the cockpit. VERY cool, VERY scary and VERY pants messying
