Did anyone out there with oversized valves need to get stiffer valve springs? The dealer says they think it might need them, but they are going to do research. I'm doing a little of my own. I would expect the stock springs to be fine, but then again, I dont know much about motors.

If I am not mistaken some people are using the springs from the speed triples with the oversized valves.
Maybe frank will chime in, he is having his done now.

mine is done now thank you very much i dont think you NEED to but when i had mine done the vendor put the speed triple calve spring in. its actually 2 springs instead of one which is much better at higher rpm.

OK, thats another cost factor to consider, but I'll get them and do it right. Thanks!

Here's a company that was making valves and/or springs for the triples. I don't know if they still are - the catalog PDF was taking me forever to open so I leave it up to you. I don't know how the prices compare to stock speed 3 parts. I still had the link from when I built up my Tbird a few years ago.

my head has stock outer springs and speed triple inner springs. the head must be machined to accept dual valve springs. I have 2mm larger intake valves, and 1mm larger exhaust valves.

Dealer says that you do not need to machine for dual valve springs if using stock outer springs. I will be going with speed triple inner springs, and stock outers. Dropped my head off today for valve job.
