I like the 3 into 1 better but the triple pipes do harken back to the Hurricane.

I always prefer to see a pipe on each side of the wheel, but if it is between these two pictures only. The i would go for the 3 into 3.

Definate takes you back to the Hurricane days.

I love the Hurricane look but I'd bet it'd be a bear getting to the rear axle through all of that hardware.

The Hurricane look...definately!

And the reason why? Because it's distinctive. There are many multi-cylinder bikes of all brands out there where the headers collect into one muffler, but this distinctive "fantail" exhaust system were only ever put on a Triumph.

(and BTW...I've heard that particular exhaust system on a Thunderbird Sport in person, and they sound distinctively beautiful too)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I would also prefer a 3 into 2 (one each side). BUT, between the two above choices, I would go with the 3x3. If you are going with the exhausts on one side, going into just one pipe doesn't seem right. The triple is also distinctive and screams TRIPLE!

I like the 3 into one. The 3 mufflers are cool but looks like overkill.

Just wanted some opinions from fellow Triumph riders. I like the stainless steel of the Thunderbikes but the three mufflers looks so awesome. I just don't know. Taxes will be back soon. I have the 3 into 2 now, using Emgo universal mufflers, I just want something more distinctive. Thanks for all the opinions guys. Keep em coming!

You actually have the 3 into 2 now but you didn't show a pic of that?

D&D fo' sho'. Just looks meaner. The others are nice, but sort of average, run-of-the-mill, you know.

I have the Thunderbike pipes on my Legend. They look and sound fantastic. I have heard the D&D on a Thunderbird. Too loud, and the fit and finish isn't quite as good. I would have to say go with the Thunderbike.

The Thunderbike pipes sound great on a triple. Look good without being accused of overkill.
