Think'n bout get'n these--[ SM risers ] but notice from pics, that the base of the risers don't sit flush with the triple trees--seems to be a slight "space". anyone have these that can comment--not comfortable with a little "wiggle" room.

They might be similar to some of the HD Duce risers I have seen with a small shoulder around where the stud is. I think some HDs have a recess in the tree the accepts that shoulder. There are plenty of others out there for much less money that don't have that and look much better to me. I don't really like how square those are and plain. I put a kind of square set on Wendys bike that sit flush and have some nice accent machining in the sides and are narrower at the base than the top giving them some shape.

Here is what I did on mine, more my taste.

But if those risers are what you want it would be easy enough to trace the base on a piece of stainless just thick enough for the shoulder and cut a spacer with a hole drilled for the shoulder to get rid of the gap. Not sure thats whats going on there but thats what it looks like to me.

thanx, modded plenty of stuff when i had my HD--but didn't want to have to do that to a new[$] piece, and i like the "ugly" brushed look--not a chrome guy.

It isn't the brushed look I don't like on those the look too square to me, almost unfinished. Like halfway through making them the machinist just stopped. But It's your bike and your look so if you like them then go for it. I like some things brushed too and I like the flat paint on the bobbers. It's all a matter of taste and I was in no way saying do what I did was just showing the 2 different style risers I used as examples for shape.

No, not less than that, and not like those either, but much less than any of the ones I've seen from Brent.

BTW, where did you get yours from?

One of the companies on Ebay, Ebay store. I can't remember for sure what one it was , I would have to dig out my receipt.

I picked up a set of HD Duce pull backs on Ebay 30 bucks
had to drill for larger bolts, and reroute throttle cables.
also ordered longer SS braided clutch cable from Barnet.
Moving the bars back a couple of inches is one of the best mods I've done on my bike, other was change to progressive suspension

I agree , my bike is a speedmaster so didn't raise the risers much (1/2") but America bars and risers move them 1 1/2" closer to me was one of my best changes as well.

I went back to the JCWhitney site and looked up risers listed for the HDs ect which listed the risers separate from the clamp part. Before my list was just categorized by the Triumph models. I've found risers in local shops in the 30 - 50 dollar range but they didn't include the top clamp piece which sold separately and for a lot more than the risers. I really liked the Triumph logo clamp on one of your bikes. Did that come with your risers or was that a separate purchase?

WOW! I wish I had seen that site first. I bookmarked it so if I don't like the ones I've ordered from JCW, then I know where to look. Thanks
