Just wanted to introduce myself to everybody, I'm looking forward to trudging through all the great information and discussions this site has to offer. I'm not very mechanically savvy and I'm new to riding but realized I was hooked this winter when I was checking on my baby in the garage waiting for a random nice day to take her out. I've got an '07 Black Speedmaster that I bought last March. I've got a vision for upgrades on my Triumph and I'm sure I'll get more ideas from this site. Talk to you all soon!

Welcome to the madhouse! If you search the site long enough, you'll come to the conclusion that a little red on that black will increase your horsepower, extend you gas milage, and attract more chicks!

I'm just trying to understand how anybody winds up owning one of these grat bikes without discovering this forum first. Doesn't anybody do any online research before they buy these days? I know I would have wound up with a slow V-Twin Japanese bike if it were not for this forum.

I think this web site does a better job of selling SM and America's than any dealership I've ever heard of, or even Triumph's own literature. It had a lot to do with tipping the scales for me. Triumph should start putting the hosts of this site on some sort of commission based income (I'm assuming they don't already).

My friend (who used to be a member here, demoman) Bought an America and let me ride it. I liked it and it was still stock at the time. Now I have been a Triumph nut for over 30 years and am not interested in buying anything else except antiques such as Norton , BSA, Triumph etc.. like I always have. Trouble is when I built up my collection they were $300 give or take each, heck my 54 T-110 with matching numbers was $20 as a basket case.Any way I had found this forum but never went past the title page, I was looking for custom stuff not info. I went and bought my SM never having read this forum simply because it was an air cooled vertical twin with carbs, I never liked any of the other new Triumphs except the T-100 style line and the Rocket has grown on me and I may buy a Rocket touring model eventually.I swore I would never buy a new one until they came out with an air cooled twin and thats just what I did.

When I made the decision to get back into riding after the kids were grown, it was going to be a Triumph or nothing. I found the America picture online first and it was love at first sight. Then I found a video online made by some guy named Robert Wade. Then I found the site. It was a month or more before my America was due to arrive, so I spent a lot of time on here being a newbie pia... Now I'm a seasoned pia..
Welcome Dustin. Good choice.

When I got the chance last year to get a new bike, there was no choice other than Triumph. I looked at their website, then went to the dealer. I only found out about this site after getting her home.
Anyway, Welcome Dustin!

haha, no way b. I just got around to joining this site, but I must admit when I was researching to make my decision last year I referenced this site quite a lot. However I knew I wasn't cool enough to join until I actually got a hold of a Triumph
