I find it very appealing myself. Must be the retro-lover in me...

Saw one yesterday at the local H-D shop. Looks pretty tough.

It's amazing how a stripped down motorcycle manages to weigh 700 pounds dry!

A NOT-SO-SUBTLE REMINDER OF WHERE THE CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE CAME FROM.
I was at the H-D dealer yesterday with my girlfriend and saw that up close. I think it looks like they are trying to hard to capitalize on the retro trend and missed.

Yep.. saw that in a mag and loved it. Might look different in person but I think it's pretty cool.

It's a cool-looking bike. I'm not sure I'd spend $16 large on one though.

eeek. It looks like the design team and the parts dept where out have'n too many beers together.
it looks too much like a parts bin bike to me. a little bit of this with a little bit of that.

Not sure I could ever buy a bike that has 'baddass' written in the marketing spiel!! I think it looks scared; like it's been trundling along all 'badass' but then seen something and the front end's pulled back a bit, as if unsure. (I have an active imagination!!)

A twinkie suspension AND a sprung solo seat? Yuck (and pointless). This one is trying way too hard imo. Quote:

I hear ya. Looks like it ran into something or is really surprised. HD springers in general look kinda funny cause the headlight is up so high. I know they want to show off the springs, but it makes for wierd lines.

I know a few ladies who ride Heritage Softtails and have NO CLUE how they back those things up out of parking spots, etc.

Sorry, that doesn't fly. Honda VTX, Kawasaki Vulcan, Yamaha Raider, Suzuki M109R... all over 700lbs.

Gotta agree, I saw this on the showroom in Manatee HD a couple of weeks ago and commented on it. Like my '60 Panhead, a rear swingarm suspension with a pogo or spring seat gives the rider a squirelly feel for the bike. The salesman there agreed and said after riding it the first thing to get replaced would be the seat. Get those springs out from under ya, and sit in the bike. After I walked around it a bit more and sat on it, I decided, now there's a nice looking bike! Too bad that there will be many others made identical to it, owned by a bunch of yuppie, haven't a clue, too much money riders/owners. That's when I knew I didn't want it anymore.... later, Tom.
But, what do I know?

My SoftTail had a spring seat and it was not at all bad. Maybe the salesman needs a bit more experirnce.
