Hi folks, another new member here. I'm a total novice biker, only passed my test last month . Bought myself a bike that i already absolutely love. Taking it steady at the moment though as i've got a bit of a reputation for being a useless , clumsy sod. Or so my ex says anyway Cant think of anything else to say at the moment so bye for now.

Hiya, David, and welcome. As you're new to bikes, just take it easy and learn at your own pace and you'll be OK. Neill PS If you see someone lurking round here who goes by the name birchr, hide. He'll no doubt try to sign you up for "the UK's biggest Trumpet meet, ever"!!!! http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...;gonew=1#UNREAD

Welcome, David. Don't worry about what the ex says. You bought a Trumpet, so that alone proves you have good taste and class. Take it easy, being new. Wear a helmet. Good riding to ya!

Yeah..but it is gonna be a good weekend....
And with a name like Notts_Stag you've got to be a Mansfield Town supporter....how does a Bristol person know....cos I'm from up there really!! Well, Long Eaton really, but it's nearer than Bristol....
As Neill said, take it steady and don't go beyond what you feel is comfortable yet.
Welcome to the Madhouse!

Welcome. hope you can make the Dent meet. Take things at your one pace and dont try to keep up with others if you have to go faster than you are comfortable with, thats my advice for new riders.

Your ex is going to see you on your bike and recognize what a fool she was for letting that useless, clumsy, sod get away . But too late for her the chicks will be all over you. You are the man! Welcome, and ride safe!

Don't lie to the newbie! We all know these bikes are not chick magnets.
And on that note - be prepared to have complete strangers of the geezer variety spark up conversations at fuel stops. Welcome.

Hi and welcome, the bikes might not be chick magnets but they look dead cool. You will find the triumphs to be forgiven, easy to ride and there low centre of gravity makes it really stable to ride in rather windy conditions such as we have at present in te UK. Just remember to put the side stand down before you dismount, not that it has ever happened to me.. ooops. Ride and enjoy.

Welcome David. If you're a new rider, practice, practice, practice. Find a secluded area and take your time. The Riding Technique forum has a lot of help.

Robin hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen, Robin Hood Robin hood with his band of men, feared by the bad, loved by the good, Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood !! feel better for that, been on the famous grouse for about half a bottle..... Mansfield town ! Good on yer ! I'm a Birmingham Supporter....we don't chose to be ....we're born to be ! 4 -1 , 4-1, 4 -1, 4-1 and my apologies to Mr Wenger for the injury to Eduardo, he could have been the difference between a win and a draw for them today. Arsenalfan will know what I mean
If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.
