It took me a while to summon up the courage to post to this brilliant forum - don't really know why as everyone seems to be so friendly and helpful.

A bit about myself....

I ride a mulberry red and grey 2006 TBA, short TORs, air injection removed, driving lights, footboards etc, mainly on the roads of Cornwall in the extreme southwest of the UK where the roads are just perfect for our Triumphs. If anyone is ever in the area, please look me up - I am an expert in Cornish pasties and know which ale is best to wash them down with!

Welcome Nigel, plenty of riders here from the U.K., you should give it serious thought about meeting up with them. The two I've met have been outstanding.

Welcome Nigel. I wouldn't worry about this being a "brilliant" forum. Some people think they have dumb questions which really aren't. There's far more dumb and inane answers floating around. That's primarily because people do enjoy the forum.

Nigel, that is the kind of thing that should make a fellow feel welcome. Your first thread and you have already been involved in some witty banter.

A short while ago Phil randomly split the mods into one of two groups. One was to develop a list of "nutcases", the other a list of "normals".

Later in the secret clubhouse under the light of an oil lamp and shared pack of Woodbines, we compared lists. Imagine our shock when we discovered they were identical.

(except for Dwight)

Welcome!

G-Day Mate!...no thats Australia.. . Cheerie-O!... . Okay, okay..... How about this. Welcome to the forum. I feel a special kinship to my English and Irish cousins. Also, your setup, 06 TBA, Mulberry and Gray (graphite) is the same bike I have. All you guys from the UK and Australia seem to be the greatest people. You seem like you could've been raised right next door to me. Welcome, best wishes to you.

My mom used to make pasties all the time, Can't say I cared for all the dough but loved the meat and taters inside. I am Welsh and Cornish.

The only stupid question is the one not asked that leads to trouble.

One again many thanks for the warm welcome - it's good to know that I am in such good company. That so many seem to know a little about the area from which I come, is gratifying also.

Khatt - a pasty is traditional fare from these parts and you haven't lived until you have eaten one baked by this lady:

If this is washed down with a pint from the following brewery, then you truly are in heaven!

Ride safe everybody.

Blimey! It's taken Ray nearly 8 hours to mention Dent....

If you wanna go to Dent and if I ride up there on the Saturday...I'll meet you at Gordano Services on the M5...

But welcome to you! Always nice to see more Brits. It's a bit of a madhouse here, but you get used to it after a while...

What makes you think its just the Mods who fit into both categories ......I have a slithering sneeking suspicion that many many members would easily fit into both lists .....

And excuse my bad manners welcome. Come to Dent you bring some Ale I will bring a decent drop of the creature.

Hi Nigel and welcome, spent three years at Plymouth Uni, man I just love the South West. South west winds loads of rain and great people. If you get to Dent, will have to have a chat over a pint or four.
