Mr. Cope was commonly known as the voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, he was first and foremost an outstanding sports journalist. Myron was the founding father of the Terrible Towel and possesed the most unusual of broadcast voices. He was a entertainingly funny man and was equally a caring family man. Myron was instrumental in the founding of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grande Prix - a charitable event set up to raise money for autistic children, and remained on the board of directors until his illness. That event is one of the premere vintage races in the world and is run on public streets.
