Just had a 10 second rumble and the windows rattled. Felt like an earthquake to me. Although they are rare here, there have been about 6 small ones in about 20 years that you could 'feel', the worst causing chimney stacks to fall.

Dunno.....

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

We had a slightly bigger one (5) yesterday evening, an even bigger one a few days back and an even bigger one last month (6.5) but we are used to them (sort of) since we are right on a quake belt (since ancient times).

Irritating isn't it?

Mick, I heard about the earthquake on the news and was thinking about you. Glad to see no official reports of injury. I hope your bike didn't fall over. I'd put some padding underneath it just in case.

The wife said she felt the house shake down here in Milton Keynes.

I slept through it, didn't even register on my richter scale.

I woke up at 730 realising I'd not had my painkillers before bed....flicked the tv on and saw it on the news. So got up, took painkillers, saw my bike was still upright and went back to bed.

As you can tell it didn't wake me up either. However that could be due to the 2 1/2 pints of Guinness down the pub last night!

My kinda girl, I usually have to feed 'em a couple of roofies to get that kind of lack of response.

If you woke up at 7-30 what time did you go to the pub? and not enough booze to negate the pain. I would recomend a later finish in the pub and much more booze. This will greatly reduce the need for pain killers .....until the following morning by which time the pain will spread to cover head as well back.

Here's what the BBC says about it,
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/7266136.stm
That was pretty strong, especially for an area where earthquakes aren't all that common. Good that there wasn't a lot more damage.

slept straight through it!!
Although girl at work was moaning about her neighbours, as she said the wardrobe kept banging the wall , made us all laugh, as we told her about the quake, she hadn't a clue.
