I did a search and found nothing on this potentially little nifty idea: Grifter Storage Box at newspeedmaster.com

Does anyone else have one? Any opinion on it? I'm looking for a safer, secure way to carry my registration & insurance documents around.

I am also thinking of buying the license plate bolts: License Plate Bolts at newspeedmaster.com. Will they still fit and hold my license plate with that Grifter Box installed?

Thanks

That is cool but its plastic. Then again who looks at the license plate to steal anything.

I have it on my bike. I keep my registration and insurance information in it. Plus I keep a few tools like air pressure gauge and such in it. Almost no one knows the Grifter Storage Box is there, unless I point it out to them.

In regards to the bolts I don't think they will work. Currently I am out of town on business, and I am sure someone else will let you know for sure before I get back home to check.

Steve,
I have the grifter and the bolts from Brent. I don't remember having to do anything special to make it work, so I am thinking it's "plug and play"

I use to have one on my bike. It is an awesome idea. But it would not work with the licence plate frame that I have. I decided I liked the licence plate frame too much.

I have one and the bolts. Works fine. I used some sealing washers, the kind with the foam on one side, just to make sure it stayed dry in there. I keep my regi, insurance card, tire gauge and a pen in there.

I have one with the bolts too, but as I recall the installation wan't quite that simple. The holes must be drilled and I don't think the pilot holes were in exactly the right spot to match up with the bracket and the license plate. As long as you're careful, it's no big deal. Like lot's of other stuff, measure twice, cut once. Works fine once it's in place.

If you keep your bike ignition key on a separate ring, put the grifter key on there, too. Several of us have ridden off with keychain hanging from grifter lock lock only to lose keys on the road somewhere.
