Trifecta = 3rd post about these idiots in as many weeks.
I planned to exchange my lower fork outers for a pretty set of chrome ones this week. I received a fork drift tool from another very patient member to help with the job. Per the Haynes manual all I needed were a pair of #11, 13, and 18 in the following picture to do the job right.

Here’s what I received. You can see that #11 and 18 made it OK (upper ½ of image), but Bikebungholes was way off on #13 (2 Oil Seals). Not sure what the heck they sent me, but both are in the bottom ½ of the following image.

Impossible to get a human at their 1-888 number, so here’s the verbatim of the on-line customer live-help (waited 10 minutes for the help person to arrive):

Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Hello THomas
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: How may I assist you today?
tdziak@: Hello
tdziak@: I received my order from you, but there are two wrong parts in-place of an important absent pair
tdziak@: Do you have my order in front of you?
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Do you have the first 6 digits of your Order number handy?
tdziak@: Yes, it's NPE3C4
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Let me check on that for you, Do you mind holding?
tdziak@: Row 2 Part# TI-T2047108 SEAL, OIL 2EA is not in the order.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: What items are wronf in this order?
tdziak@: In its place are two items with the following part numbers on their bags .....
tdziak@: T2047115 and T1240858
tdziak@: I have no idea what they are, but they are not part of the order and the OIL, SEAL(S) are absent.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Let me check on that for you, Do you mind holding?
tdziak@: Don't mind.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: T2047115 is the superseded version of what was ordered.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: The part you have received has been superseded by the manufacturer. This means the original part is no longer available, but has been substituted by the manufacturer, however some modifications may be required (check with your certified mechanic). If you decide you do not want keep this part you can send the part back with no restocking fee.
tdziak@: If that's the case why is there only 1 in the bag, but written on the bag is x2 ??????
tdziak@: ... and what the heck is T1240858?
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: what doe sit look like?
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: does it*
tdziak@: Red, plastic, with threads and a small metal slider on one end
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Checking on it a few moments please...
tdziak@: The alleged oil seal (only 1 there) does not look like the original part.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: as that part has been superseded as stated above
tdziak@: What??? Why is there only 1 then?????
tdziak@: Your shipping paper says 2
tdziak@: but there is only 1 in the bag
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: because the other item that was shipped was supposed to be the second item but an incorrect item was shipped. If youd o not want to keeo the superseded part, i will send you a return shipping label to send back both the incorrect item and the superseded item
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: WOuld you like me to set that up for you?
tdziak@: Yes, it seems I have no other choice as both parts are incorrect. How will I receive the full refund of 30.98?
tdziak@: 30.98 for SEAL,OIL QTY 2
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Once the items reach back to us here, our returns department willl credit yuou for these items and e-mail yout o let you know you have been credited for.
tdziak@: OK, please send the pre-paid shipping label.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: This may take a few moments
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Do you mind holding ?
tdziak@: I have no choice.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: I'm sorry for the delay. Please bear with me just a moment longer.
tdziak@: OK
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Is tdziak@ a good e-mail address to send the return labelt o ?
tdziak@: Yes it is.
tdziak@: FYI, the "superceded" part is 1/2 the diameter of the original. No-way it's related.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: One moment while i get that sent to you.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Just sent the label
tdziak@: Checking my email
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: ok
tdziak@: Received it. Looks like I go 65 miles to Triumph to get the correct pair of seals.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: i deeply apologize about that
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
tdziak@: Please keep a copy of this conversation and file it. I don't want to explain everything again when I fight for my refund.
Cami - Senior Service Rep.: You will be e-mail when its recieved back here and credited for these items
tdziak@: All right, good day.
I kept it fairly professional right? Looks like a 130 mile round trip to Triumph tomorrow to pick up the seals they have in-stock for $22.05 out the door. I break even when adding gas (as long as my time is worth nothing) and assuming Bikebungholes actually credit my account.
This was my last order with them.
Thanks, I feel better now.
Regards,
Tom
