saw Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt in an acoustic evening,
last night; at The Calvin Theater in Northampton, MA( great room btw.)

two guys...3 guitars...Lyle on a custom made Collings.
John on a couple of Gibsons including
one jumbo Hummingbird. looked like maple
from where i sat.

the guys traded off stories, songs, jokes
and insights. a few duets and a lot
of fine fine music.

a great pairing.
a great night.

I was supposed to see them here in NJ couldn't make it. Two of my favorites though. Now I wish I could have squeezed it in.

John Hiatt appeared in Missoula a "couple" years ago. Yes, very good musician. I had an acoustic neighbor who turned me onto his music. The good acts used to appear at an outdoor venue underneath the Higgins street bridge, until the local self-appointed "noise police" decided we were having too much fun.

The real police in the crowd had great times . Over the years, I gotten the sense most people in the "MissZoola" are up for a good time
