My hotwires are about 6-7 inches longer than stock wires. Any problems? Also the spark plug boots are so long they bottom out before the wire clicks on top. Where did you guys mount the ground straps? Thanks in advance. Michael

Coil up the extra length and wire tie. I used the old AI mounting holes. Perfect setup. Mike

cut & splice.
I know you're joking, but don't do that! These wires are the minimum length while still accommodating the capacitor. The length is perfectly fine on our bikes.

Thanks for the replies. The length of the wires doesn't bother me just the fact that the boot is so long that the wire doesn't clip on top of plug. The ai bolt is a good spot but the strap barely reaches. Would it work as well on the cam cover bolt? Michael

E-mailed British Customs. Sean was nice enough to send me a picture of the routing of the wires and the ground straps going to the bolt from were the air injection pump was removed from. I did have to cut the end of the sparkplug boot to let the wire click on top. Thanks for the help.

I deleted the e-mail already. Instead of coming straight over the top of the cam cover like stock they kinda curve around the side of the cam cover like on a race bike. This way you actually see the color of the wire when the tank is back on. The ground straps fit right to the bracket for the air pump bolts fit right through the eyehole on grounding strap.

Thats where mine are, too. I sanded the paint off from around the holes to get a better contact, also

Does this Mod actually make a difference, I was thinking of getting the Nology coil and wires. Are there many who have gone this route, if so any thoughts. Does it give you anything besides a smaller bank acc. Thanks

Some say yes and they can feel it in their butts.
I say show me a Dyno that proves it. No one has yet to provide a dyno comparison not even Nology.

I have the nology wires and coils on my bike, but I can't honestly say if they make a difference or not. I had them installed at the same time as the big bore.
They do look cool sticking out from under the tank! That's worth at least 5-6hp alone!

Not sure if it would do anything on the BB but I think on a stock engine it just drains your bank acct.

I would be surprised if it made more horsepower. I wouldn't be surprised if it made for better gas mileage by producing a better burn.

I have to admit that the nology wies were a bit of an impulse buy. I just thought to myself, "I'm aleady spending all this other money, why not spend a little more?" Yes, my logic was flawed, but I had bonus money burning a hole in my pocket!
My bike runs like a raped ape now, but I did the wires, coils, iridium plugs, Freak kit, rejet, and BB all at the same time....
