When asking for tips etc, it helps sometimes to give a clue as to where you are.

more ail/fuel mixture in combustion chamber equals more horse power. The better your engine breaths and exhausts the easier to get more air/fuel into the combustion chamber. This is accomplished by changing pipes for the exhaust and by modifying or replacing the factory air filteration configuration. Either mod will require changes to the carburator jetting requirements. To further improve the air intake/exhaust flow one might have his cylinder head blueprinted. Even further steps to increase air/fuel mixture quantities, one might replace the cams with high performance cams. One may also consider increasing the size of the combustion chamber with big bore kits. And to insure that large air/fuel mix is properly ingnited and burned one might find a way to increase the spark with high outpur ignition coils. One might replace his carbs with racing carbs. Turbocharging http://www.stabbarps-auto.com/ as well as other mods have been done by some. It all depends on how deep your pockets are. Have you considered the Rocket III? This would be a good start, http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/ai_removal_kit.htmlI assume you have a new Speedmaster. If so, a set of cams from Thunderbike just over in Kiwiland would do wonders for you. When they started using the larger engine in '06, they changed the valve timing to avoid having to do more expensive things to meet global emissions standards and increasing prices. Unfortunately, the very mild valve timing reduces the effectiveness of any modifications you might make to the intake and exhaust systems.

for most power big bore, port smoothing and blueprinting, larger valves, better carbs with cable operated slide, cams either aftermarket or the 790 cams.
