Between those two, (I have the Thunderbike pipes myself and love them) I would steer you toward the Sceptres. They now have removable baffles so they are not as loud if you desire that. Also the stainless part is very nice.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

Epco baffles are removable. They come with mounting bolts, so you don't have to worry about saving the original ones. They also come with a set of jets that work quite well with the other mods you mention. They are also slightly quieter than the Scepters, just enough to occasionally save you from a ticket.

I bought EPCO's and got them from the factory in Germantown, OH. They came with jets and I've been quite happy with them. Did take out about 1/2 the packing though.
The guys at the factory also offerd to polish them if I ever scratch them in the future.

Jets aren't worth 200 bucks anyway... I love my Epcos and I know guys who love their sceptres.

Ditto Yota. For almost 3 years I couldn't imagine having anything but Specialty Spares on my America. I feel lucky my dealer recommended them when I bought the bike. Great looking, great performance, and they have a bottom end growl better than the others I've heard.
I was surprised after getting the BB installed. The actual pitch and entire range of sound lowered. Sounds big without being too loud.
