A bevel-drive single Ducati 350 or 450 Scrambler, probably a '68 or there abouts, William.

Nice lookin' little bike, ain't it?!

Yeah...it is kind'a, but for some reason a lot of Italian singles had their kickstarters on the left back then, Ray.

In fact, my second motorcycle was a Benelli manufactured 360cc single which at the time(about 1968) were sold by the Montgomery Wards department stores(no longer in existence, BTW) here in the States. And, it's kickstarter was also on the left side.

And it had no compression release...AND it would occassionally try to take my left leg off at the knee!

(AND I think I STILL to this day have a little water on that knee from that sucker!...but once running it was a pretty good little motorcycle alright...and it handled really well too!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Oh, and BTW, Ray...My guess as to why the Italians put the kickstarter on THAT side???

Italy is TOO CLOSE to FRANCE!!!

But AT LEAST both of THEM ride on the RIGHT(in ALL it's connotations)SIDE of the freakin' ROAD, dude!!!

Nahh......it was so they could see their reflections in the shop window while they were starting the bike and didn't have to lose sight of themselves !

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

Hey! You might be onto somethin' there, Brummie!!!

HECK! I've been known to do THAT myself once or twice!

(but then again, I'VE got good reason to do THAT, ya know!)

Absolutely correct, Brummie. We're a handsome lot we Italians. And what some (just a few)of us might lack in looks, we make up for in charm and sincerity.

And being a reliable Ducati, it gives you LOADS of opportunities to get that Latin temperament in full swing !

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.
