Well..I sold my Kawi, but piled up bills (mortgage, elec. etc.) took the money I had planned to spend on the Bonnie. I only had about $600 left, and in order to ride at all I bought a 1982 XJ650RJ Yamaha Seca. Its nice, but it isn't a Triumph. I have started working again, but will be quite a while till I have enough to seek another Triumph. Just thought i'd let you guys know. Dave

David , we can help you prioritize your accounts payable . It's like this - Pay for your TRIUMPH first , then pay the mortgage and electric . You can even run away from the creditors on the bike . It's fun .

I had to laugh at that one! Only problem is, wife and kids don't fit well on the bike. Believe me, if it were me I would have bought the bike. Thing is...the wife really didn't think the Bonnie was a good idea when they were talking about forclosing. So...at least she let me spend the 600 on the Seca. If at all possible, I will be in GA to at least drool over the Triumphs.

Let it be hereby noted that everyone is responsible for bringing their own towel to cover up their tank as a prophylactic measure .
Drool is a formidable host for pathogens .

I like your commitment to stay on two wheels there, Dave. You're a good man!
(and your wife seems like a pretty darn good woman too...you better hold onto that one!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Man, I hate to admit this, but you're right. A house is more important than a bike. At least if you have family! I once sold my 37 Chev street rod that I had spent 5 years building. Had to pay for the septic system so I could move the family to our new place out in the country. Man that was hard! Just keep on pluggin. And don't ever stop scheming to get that BA! Remember the old saying," The best laid plans of mice and trumpet riders means that the mouse WILL get that cheese and the rider GET HIS TRIUMPH"!

Thanks for all the kind words and support. It just really sucks that I had found what, to me, was the perfect America, and then only to have the whole mess blow up in my face with the bills and such. LitzerSki, I really wanted your bike. Good luck with selling it though. Should be an easy sell...the bike is topnotch!
