is there any problem with the stock airbox when lowering with the progressive 412's (11,5")? I know about the chainguard and tab on the freak-kit but I think I remember reading/hearing something about checking the clearance with the stock airbox.
So, have anybody lowered their bike with the airbox still on the bike? problems?

I had the rear on my America down 1" for a while and never noticed any issues with the stock air box.

Tom your bike is lowered with cut springs and has almost no travel in the rear shocks thats why you don't have a clearance issue. 1" lower I don't think there are any clearance issues I am talking at 2" with the chain guard and Freak bracket. That is with 2" shorter shocks that have a normal amount of travel.
I also lowered the front of Wendys bike 2" with shorter spacers in the fork tubes. It was too low and scraped too easily so I put it back to stock up front rear is still lowered 2".

hm... maybe I should re-think the lowering, since I read the 412's lowers the bike closer to 2". alot of twisty roads in Norway...

The airbox should be OK. You may need to reshape or shorten the sidestand or else be very careful where you park so the bike doesn't fall over to the right.

I only had a problem when the back was lowered (with 412s). Once teh front end came down an inch things seemed fine. My other issue was that I have long cannons (like oldroadie) but again...getting the front down seemed to help.

Wendys is only lowered in the rear like I said before,2". If she isn't careful she will scrape the very end of her pipes but nowhere near as bad as having the front lowered too. With the front that low her kickstand scraped as well as the pipes up closer to the front.
