Hi guys, question for you chrome and polish freaks out there.

My bike has been not very well weather protected... I'm getting REAL tired of taking care of chrome! Anyway, I have my lower fork shrouds removed, and I noticed a tiny little rust spot just below the lower tripple tree. Nothin a little simichrome can't handle. My question is, should I use any special care since this is theoretically a moving part? Granted, I doubt the shocks will compress enough for the fork body to get up that high, but still... Thoughts? Thanks a bunch!

A little chrome polish followed by some nice carnuba wax ought to do nicely.

Polish the rust off and put a coating of clear nail polish over the area.

Wax! Hadn't thought of that... I like the clear polish idea, but maybe for other parts of the bike...
